For my dad's 50th birthday I built him an arcade emulator machine. I designed the machine in SolidWorks and then built it at home out of 2x4. The tools I have at home are possibly older than me, so the finishes on the final product were a little rougher than I would of liked. However, in the end I had a functional arcade machine so I'd consider the project a success.
D'k Tahg :
This is another gift I worked on for my dad. The D'k tahg is a Klingon knife from Star Trek, which my dad and I are both fans of. The slider on the handle is to pop out the smaller blades. I like this piece because it's the most irregualr model I've made and it was a lot of fun to work on. I 3D printed it in 4 pieces (blade, handle, and 2 side blades). It came out really well and the point was suprisingly sharp.
